Mr. Saeed Alamodi is a lecturer in the Department of Management and Marketing at the KFUPM Business School (KBS). He earned all his academic degrees from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM), graduating with honors. His qualifications include a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems (MIS), and an Associate Degree in Computer Applications. In recognition of his dedication to and effectiveness in teaching, Mr. Alamodi received the KFUPM Excellence for Teaching Award.
Throughout his academic career, Mr. Alamodi has been actively involved in quality assurance and academic accreditation activities. He has prepared, coordinated, and submitted comprehensive reports required by the National Commission for Academic Accreditation & Assessment (NCAAA). His contributions extend to developing, reviewing, and updating program and course specifications, as well as participating in programs developments and revisions.
A significant milestone in his academic service was his leading role in preparing and submitting the final proposal for the Hospitality and Business Management (HBM) Program, which was offered for the first time at the institution. Following its approval, Mr. Alamodi was appointed HBM Program Coordinator, where he oversaw program implementation, coordination, and continuous improvement. In this role, he was also the academic advisor to all students enrolled in the program. Moreover, Mr. Alamodi led faculty search and selection committees, overseeing application reviews, candidate shortlisting, and interview processes.
Mr. Alamodi has contributed extensively to institutional governance and academic operations through his membership in several committees, including textbook committees, the Student Affairs Committee, the Courses Scheduling Committee, and the Marketing Program Advisory Committee.
His teaching portfolio covers a wide range of courses, including Human Resources Management, Marketing, Management Principles, Legal Environment of Business, Labor Law, Entrepreneurship, Distribution Channels, Product and Brand Management, Computer Applications, Retail Management, Consumer Behavior, Marketing Research, and Purchasing and Supply Management. Beyond his core teaching responsibilities, Mr. Alamodi has taught interdisciplinary courses offered to students from other departments and has served as the Summer Training Internship Coordinator.
Alongside his teaching and administrative responsibilities, Mr. Alamodi has acted as an evaluator and judge for student competitions and academic contests. Additionally, he has coordinated and delivered short courses for non-university participants on multiple occasions, addressing both academic and professional development needs.
In addition to his formal duties, Mr. Alamodi has undertaken various voluntary assignments to the community and has presented seminars and webinars on a range of academic and professional topics, contributing to students’ intellectual development and awareness of contemporary issues.
Prior to joining academia, Mr. Alamodi accumulated several years of professional industry experience, which has enriched his teaching by effectively bridging theory and real-world practice. He has advised students on a wide range of projects, including college-level academic projects as well as non-course and non-academic initiatives, supporting innovation and engagement beyond the classroom.
