MBA Business Practicum is an experiential learning course which started in 2018 to meet the increasing demands of the changing times for graduates to be agile and adaptive to different industries.
The course is designed in a way where up to 5 students work on a consulting project throughout the duration of the semester (4 months).
The teams work with a client on a real problem or challenge the client is currently facing and work toward devising a recommendation which may lead to a solution.
Lead Instructor:
Prof. Salem Al Ghamdi
Prof. Salem has been leading the course since its inception in semester 172 (2018), and has completed its tenth run successfully. His area of expertise in strategic management and his industry experience has had a major impact on this course, as well as the quality of consulting the student groups have provided to the clients.
Co-Instructor:
Dr. Sami AlWuhaibi
Dr. Sami joined the course in 2021. He brings a vast expanse of knowledge in innovation, entrepreneurship and strategy to the table. His experience in the industry and family businesses help to light up new perspectives during the projects.
Co-Instructor:
Mr. Taha Nasir
As the Director of Business Engagement, Taha has been supporting this course by coordinating with clients and negotiating on projects. Using his experience gained in the industry and as an entrepreneur, he also coaches the student groups on solving their client’s problem.
