AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) was founded in 1916 and is the longest-serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master’s and doctoral degrees in business and accounting. Less than 5% of the world’s business schools hold an AACSB accreditation. KFUPM Business School received the accreditation in 2002 and then renewed in 2012 and 2017.
Students undertaking the ACCA at KBS are exempted 8 exams from a total of 13, one of the highest number of exemptions in the region.

KBS and the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) have recently signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) which will see the introduction of the CMA® (Certified Management Accountant) program to university students. The partnership is in line with KBS and IMA’s efforts to further academic, educational, and professional initiatives which will help young students kickstart their finance and accounting careers by bridging the skills gap during the most vital stage of their professional life. IMA has also endorsed our BS in Accounting program and has given 62 students scholarships to pursue the CMA program.
