Dr. Nasser A. Alqahtani

Biography

Dr. Alqahtani is an Associate Professor of Marketing at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), where his expertise centers on marketing strategy, entrepreneurship, and digital technologies. He holds a Ph.D. in Marketing from Rutgers University–The State University of New Jersey, as well as an MBA and B.S. in Marketing from KFUPM. His research has appeared in leading international journals including the Journal of Business Research, Journal of Small Business Management, Telematics and Informatics, Marketing Intelligence & Planning, Journal of Strategic Marketing, and the Journal of Research in Marketing and Entrepreneurship.

His scholarly contributions have been recognized with multiple awards including the 2022 AMA EMSIG Abdul Ali Promising Research Award, and Best Paper awards at both EuroMid and Academy of Marketing conferences. As an academic leader, Professor Alqahtani serves as Chairman of the Department of Management and Marketing, a role complemented by his service as the Summer Coordinator (acting dean) for KFUPM Business School during the 2025 summer term. He led many initiatives in the business school including the development of the University’s new six-track Ph.D. in Business Administration program.

Dr. Alqahtani demonstrates teaching excellence supported by advanced pedagogical training from Harvard Business Publishing and Stanford University. This commitment to education earned him the 2025 Excellence in Academic Advising Award. Bridging academic theory with market practice, he has co-authored field case studies with Stanford faculty and cultivated experiential learning and research partnerships with over 25 industry leaders, including Coca-Cola, Golden Scent, Deemah, Zid, Kia Aljabr, and Tamara.
