Saad Ibrahim Asiri is a Senior Graduate Assistant in the Department of Management and Marketing at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, where he teaches Principles of Marketing, International Business, and Business and Entrepreneurship.
His research sits where strategy meets cognitive psychology. He is interested in how managers and management teams reach decisions; how judgement is shaped by the incentives, structures, and informal rules surrounding a choice, rather than by individual reasoning alone. A forthcoming article in the International Journal of Happiness and Development examines how informal institutions and governance quality relate to economic performance. He intends to pursue doctoral study to further expand his expertise and knowledge.
Saad brings the same interest in decision-making to his work outside the classroom. He is a co-founder of Dhameen, a Saudi escrow and financial platform, and draws on that experience when teaching entrepreneurship, pairing the theory with the operational reality of building a venture in the local market.
He is motivated by research above all, and drawn to questions that resist a clean answer. He prepares for the classes he teaches with the same seriousness. Students know him as approachable and direct: he gives honest feedback, keeps his door open, and would rather help a student reason through a problem than hand over the answer. He reads widely across strategy, social psychology, and economics, and enjoys a class most when it argues back.
