Dr. Muhammad Saeed

Biography

Dr. Muhammad Saeed is an Assistant Professor of Sociology in the Department of Global Studies at KBS, King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM. He earned his Ph.D. in Sociology, with a focus on Gender Studies, from the University of York, UK, in 2012. With over two decades of academic experience, he previously served as Assistant Professor and Lecturer at the University of Malakand, Pakistan. His research focuses on social, cultural and gender studies, energy policy, migration, urban quality of life, and social change. Dr. Saeed has led and co-led several funded research projects at KFUPM. He has published widely in internationally indexed journals and is the author of the forthcoming book Masculinity and Violence in Pakistan (Oxford University Press). Besides, he has contributions in curriculum development, program development, quality assurance and accreditation, and research.
